THE DUST is beginning to settle, the competitors are on the road home and the Warwick Show and Rodeo Society is still smiling after what was one of our biggest rodeos in history.

"We would like to thank all of our sponsors for the campdraft and rodeo," secretary of the society Kate Anderson said.

"We'd like to thank all the volunteers and of course the committee as well.

"Without these people the event would not be able to take place."

Mrs Anderson said the event ran very smoothly.

"The atmosphere over the week was fantastic," she said.

"We've had great feedback from competitors, trade vendors and sponsors."

This year those unable to make it to the showgrounds could still get a dose of bull-bucking action with the events being streamed on the internet via the website.

"Live streaming was a great success," Mrs Anderson said.

"People were watching our rodeo action from Texas USA and Canada.

Police have also commended the behaviour of rodeo revellers at the weekend, with extra resources brought in for the event.

Warwick Police acting officer in charge Des Canning said it was great to see people enjoy the charged rodeo atmosphere.

"It was a great weekend with no reported incidents from the rodeo - everyone was well behaved and had a great time," he said.

"We had road policing units in from Toowoomba and two mounted officers from Brisbane here as well," he said. "Police were very happy to stand by and watch everyone enjoy themselves."
