Weather a ‘godsend’ for the Muster

MUSTER numbers look like exceeding that of last year's as guests were still rolling through the gates last night.

While numbers of ticket sales are yet to be confirmed, Muster financial controller Judy Arthur said hundreds were expected to arrive today before tonight's headliner, Jimmy Barnes.

She said a combination of clear weather and a stellar artist line-up was to thank for the increase.

"It is so beautiful of a day," she said.

Muster administration assistant Georgia Dein said the clear weather was a "godsend" and a very welcome change to previous Muster years when rain has been a significant issue to contend with.

"We've really jagged the weather this year," she said.

She said many potential patrons watch the weather and wait until the last minute to decide whether they will head to the Muster.

If the dry, sunny weather continues, event organisers can expect plenty more to file through the gates for the final two days of the big event which will include performances from international headliner The Mavericks and Daryl Braithwaite.

"I think it will be quite an influx of people," she said.

Meanwhile, Ms Arthur likened the sight at the front gate to busy inner-Brisbane streets.

She said while campsites were filling up, there was still room to accommodate more visitors who chose to stay the night.

Ms Arthur said she expected the traffic to arrive this morning as visitors settled in early for a long and fun-filled day.

"It's always a good atmosphere at the Muster."
