Rollover leads to arm injury and hundreds in fines for man

A LEYBURN man who failed to take proper care on the road and rolled a vehicle in the small town has just been ordered to pay hundreds in fines for two separate offences.

Leyburn Police Senior Constable Matt Swan said about 9.30pm on Saturday, June 29, the 23-year-old Leyburn man entered the corner of Donald and Percival Sts at speed and rolled the vehicle he was driving.

The man was taken to hospital for an injury to his arm, but on Friday his hip pocket was hit with two fines.

Sen-Constable Swan said he was issued with an infringement notice for driving without due car and attention as well as failing to fulfil duties of a driver involved in a crash.

The infringements came to a value of $788 with a loss of three demerit points.
