Roosters to host finals

THE Inglewood Roosters will host their first Border Rugby League grand finals on September 10 at the Macintyre Sports Complex.

The Roosters snared home ground advantage with a 26-8 semi-final victory against Stanthorpe in A-grade on Saturday. Centre Brent Hearne scored three tries and Tyler Wolff was strong off the bench.

SCORES: A grade: Inglewood 26 (Brent Hearne 3, Matthew West, Chris Blinco tries, Matthew Gainey 3 goals) d Stanthorpe (Jason Cobon 2 tries). Reserve grade: Wallangarra 20 (Derriss Torrens, Chris Russel, Corey Torrens, Danny Battersby tries, Corey Torrens 2 goals) d Stanthorpe 4 (John Warr try). Preliminary finals, Saturday, Sullivan Oval: 1pm reserves Stanthorpe v Inglewood, 3pm A Stanthorpe v Texas.
