Rose City boxer will jump into nationals ring in four hours

BOXING: Rose City Boxing Club member Jacko McMahon will have his first fight at the nationals at 2pm today in Adelaide.

He will fight in the 75kg division against Callum Adams from Victoria. McMahon is currently ranked No.2 for his youth division in Australia.

McMahon weighted in at 74.9kg this morning.

Fellow Rose City boxer Jake Wyllie will jump into the ring tomorrow against Jack Moore from Victoria in the 64km division.

The pair have been in Adelaide since Sunday preparing for the nationals.

They are trained in Warwick by Rose City head coach Damien Lawler and are under the direction of Queensland coaches while in Adelaide.

Both are current Queensland champions and Wyllie won a national golden gloves title last year.

All the fights at the nationals are being live streamed through Boxing Australia on Facebook.
