Rose City to flaunt its floral decor for rodeo celebrations

BUSINESSES in Rose City that would like to enter this year's Floral Window Competition are urged to hand in their entry forms to Bryson's Place by 5pm today.

Warwick Horticultural Society secretary Margot Cory will pick up the entries and take the judges around for the official judging from 9am tomorrow.

"The main thing is that everyone gets their entry forms into Bryson's Place so they don't miss out," she said.

"If they want to pick a theme, they can do something on a theme of their choice."

Yesterday the Horticultural Society had received seven entries.

"We're hoping to get more entries today," Mrs Cory said.

"There's a huge variety of categories and they're judged on design, colour and originality.

"There will be some displays inside the shopping centre and the rest are usually out on the main street.

The winners will be awarded with a sash and a certificate for first, second and third places.
