Water Rats pack keen to reach their potential

WARWICK Water Rats seniors start training tonight at 6.30pm at Risdon Oval.

Club official Terry Duggan said the club would again compete in the C-grade Darling Downs competition.

"While finishing second on the premiership table last year, we did not perform to our ability in the finals series and bowed out in the preliminary final to Chinchilla," Duggan said.

"There is a feeling of unfinished business within the boys and a determination to go all the way this year."

This season kicks off the week after Easter however Warwick will host the Country Cup pre-season tournament on March 2.

Warwick won the tournament last year in Beaudesert and the club is keen to defend the title.

Senior club president Scotty McLellan was encouraged by the turn-out at last week's muster but said players were still needed.

All welcome at 6.30pm today or call McLellan on 0403 117 666.
