Run over by 4WD: Street fight ends in horror

BREAKING: It started as an altercation between two men in a Beerwah street. It ended with one man in hospital and another charged over allegedly running him over. 

Just before 4pm on Tuesday two men, who knew each other, got into an altercation in Simpson St and police allege a 4WD was driven at a 38-year-old Beerburrum man, striking him. 

The Beerburrum man, who received serious injuries, including broken hands and a broken leg, managed to get himself to Beerwah police station where he reported the incident. 

Police charged a 37-year-old Coochin Creek man with dangerous driving and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was remanded in custody to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court this morning. 

The Beerburrum man was taken by ambulance to Nambour Hospital.
