Rural ambassador runner-up takes another shot at title

WILL Howard has decided to give the Junior Rural Ambassador title a crack to encourage young folks to get involved.

Thanks to his cousin sending in the application, the 17 year old diesel mechanic apprentice is gearing up to take home the title at this year's Warwick Showgirl and Rural Ambassador Competition.

"It's good to get involved with the Show and Rodeo Society,” Will said.

"If they don't get the volunteers they won't be able to run it.

"It's my job to keep the numbers up.”

Will is completing his apprenticeship at Transport Field Service through Assumption College to follow in his dad's footsteps.

Although he is busy at school, he is keen to be a community ambassador, after falling short as runner up last year.

He has been receiving help from his cousins who are hinting what to do and say in preparation for Saturday's ball.
