Saddle bronc stars show their class in Warwick drafting
CAMPDRAFTING: Two campdrafters with a lot of experience in saddle bronc riding have joined the lead group in the Pryde's EasiFeed Warwick Gold Cup campdrafting.
After the first 588 runs in the Gold Cup, Hall and Bandy are two of the top six.
Ben Hall from Muttaburra in Queensland scored 90 on Classy Dove this morning and Scott Bandy from Tooma in New South Wales recorded the same score on Roc CD.
Both have competed in finals in the Australian Professional Rodeo Association in saddle bronc but this year their focus at the Warwick Rodeo is campdrafting.
The pair are also equal seventh with a large group of riders on 89, Hall riding Foot Acre, and Bandy on Smart Con.
After the first 600 runs in the Gold Cup are over today, there will be another 300 runs in the Canning Downs Campdraft this afternoon. There will almost another 600 campdrafting runs tomorrow.
Rodeo timed event and rough stock action starts late Thursday at the Warwick Showgrounds.
