
Saddling up for club's open day
HORSE RIDING: THE Stanthorpe Pony Club will host an open day, inviting riders of all ages to see what pony club is all about.
The come and try event will be held on Sunday, November 13 at the Stanthorpe Showgrounds.
Riders are asked to arrive by 8.30am for sign on and gear check before the events begin at 9am.
The day will start with instruction, which will include show jumping, western dressage, sporting events, mechanical cow and more.
The day will continue after lunch with a range of novelty events.
The day will be $10 for PCAQ members and $20 for non-members.
Payment is to be made on the day and tickets include a sausage sizzle lunch.
A canteen will also be available.
Riders are asked to bring their gear, including a helmet, boots and two girth points. All equipment must meet PCAQ, which can be checked by contacting the club.
