Salvos grant holiday wishes in Warwick
CHRISTMAS is a great time to give back and there are plenty of ways to donate to those in need these holidays.
Rose City Shoppingworld has once again partnered with The Salvation Army for the Wishing Tree appeal.
With drought and unemployment still affecting the community, some families struggle to fulfil the wishes of children over the Christmas period.
Rose City Shoppingworld Marketing Manager Louise de Lissa said shoppers were incredibly generous last year, purchasing a record amount of gifts for locals in need through the Wishing Tree program.
"We are pleased to be able to help out a worthy cause across the Christmas period and it's great to see our shoppers supporting locals in need," she said.

Helping out is as easy as selecting a tag off one of the wishing trees, located at the bottom of the travelator, and buying a gift for the child described on the tag.
Unwrapped gifts can then be dropped off to the Rose City Shoppingworld Centre Management Office.
Lieutenant Steve Spencer said The Salvation Army is expected to distribute more food vouchers, hampers, gifts and meals than any other time of year.
"In the Southern Downs last year we handed out assistance to about 100 individuals or families," said Lt Spencer.
"We expect to help the same number, or more, this year."
