Salvos pleased with generousity of Christmas Appeal

IT IS with great pleasure that I write to the community members of the Southern Downs to express our heartfelt thanks for the donations of toys and financial contributions towards The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal of 2015 and the way that the community supported our ministry at that time.

Each year we see many more people in need of assistance at year's end.

However, I am constantly astounded at the level of generosity that people show to others by sacrificially giving to help someone else.

Although the demand for help increases each year, so do the provisions to alleviate some of the pressures that Christmas can put on people.

We are forever thankful and grateful for community-minded businesses and organisations that are more than willing to partner with The Salvation Army to assist in our community.

Special thanks go to:

Rose City Shoppingworld, Warwick.

Bunnings Warwick.

Suncorp Bank Warwick.

Suncorp Bank Stanthorpe.

Killarney Neighbourhood Watch.

Southern Downs Regional Council.

Ray Bunch Machinery Warwick.

Warwick Daily News.

Stanthorpe Border Post.

Telstra.

Allora RSL.

And many individual community members.

We pray that 2016 will be a happy and prosperous new year to every one of the Southern Downs.

On behalf of The Salvation Army - Warwick Corps.

Lieutenants Steve and Lydia Spencer
