Santa's visit set to make Lake Leslie campers happy

THEY say Santa visits every boy and girl no matter where they are and Lake Leslie Tourist Park owner Adam Bennett said the jolly man was expected to make a special appearance at the camping grounds on Christmas morning.

"Santa will be here on Christmas morning between nine and 10 for all the guests," he said.

Two kids excited by the news were William and Laura Gray.

The children and their family, who hail from Allora, spend roughly three and a half weeks every Christmas at the tourist park.

Laura said it was great because she got to see all her friends.

Mr Bennett said it was not too late to book a camp site.

"It is filling up fast," he said. "But we still have vacancies left."

National Parks Minister Steve Dickson said those looking to book into national parks this summer had to do so as soon as possible.
