Savannah in the ribbons at day
SAVANNAH Halley and Rome proved to be a winning combination at the Cunningham Pony Club Gymkhana at the weekend.
The Cunningham member rode a horse Rome which is owned by club volunteer Robyn Cooper.
"This is my third time on Rome," she said.
"I am riding Rome as my horse, Knickers, who is awesome, is out for a couple of weeks with injury."
At the weekend, she was second overall with 35 points in the battle for the 11 years age championship.
Savannah received 11 ribbons for placings, including three firsts.
She has been competing for three years and lists barrel racing and the flag race as two of her best events.
Away from pony club, Savannah also competes in barrel racing and competed in her first rodeo in the past year at Stanthorpe.
The Cunningham club attracted 79 riders to its biggest event of the year.
Overall, Warwick club won with 499 points from Inglewood on 231 and Killarney on 217.
Libby Cooper won the Neville Wenham Memorial Trophy presented annually to a Cunningham member for their dedication and interest in the sport.
