School puts new twist on Shakespeare's Macbeth

THE School of Total Education puts the show in showbiz tonight and tomorrow at its annual senior play.

This year, the Year 10-12 students will take on one of William Shakespeare's more challenging dramas; the tragedy of Macbeth.

With murder, tragedy, romance and plenty of twists, the young performers have spent hours honing their techniques in anticipation for this weekend.

Under the guidance of teacher and director Colin Alley, the school's senior thespians will preform an abridged version of the script with a modern twist.

"We have taken the best parts of the two-three hour play and turned it into something that can fit into an hour," Mr Alley said.

This time-honoured tradition of the school has always been a night of family fun and entertainment.
