Schools shut in honour of Fr Kevin

ST Mary's School and Assumption College will be closed tomorrow as a sign of respect for the late Father Kevin Noble and so staff and students can attend his 11am requiem Mass.

Many more parishioners are expected to gather at St Mary's Catholic Church for a vigil prayer service at 7 tonight to give thanks for the life of the popular priest who died on Friday night after losing his battle with cancer.

This will be followed by a cup of tea in St Mary's School lower campus library with all welcome to join the family.

Following the funeral mass and burial for Father Noble tomorrow, the St Mary's Parish community will serve refreshments at the Douglas Fez Pavilion at the Warwick Showgrounds.

The parish would appreciate it if parishioners could bring a plate of food to share and help will also be required to prepare and cut sandwiches tomorrow morning from 7.30am at the show pavilion.
