Scots pair off to national titles

EQUESTRIAN: Outstanding performances have seen a pair of young women from Scots PGC earn state selection.

Terrific performances from Bridget Hegerty and Holly Wickham at the Queensland Interschool State Titles recently have given the duo a chance to represent the state at the national titles held in September.

Hegerty competed in the Elementary class, and earned the tremendous honour of State Champion in the Freestyle Dressage as well as Reserve Champion in Novice Dressage.

She also placed third in the Showman class.

Wickham finished as champion in the Advanced Dressage, and also won her Freestyle Dressage class.

She also came away with a third placing in the Prix St George to add to a great individual performance.

The event proved to be a fruitful one for Scots, with a number of positive results from students.

Arena Wheel was reserve champion in the Secondary 70cm class, and Phoebe Sellick came fourth in the Primary 50cm.
