Scots PGC eye off more success
EQUESTRIAN: The Scots PGC College equestrian students have two months left to qualify for the Queensland Inter-school Equestrian Championships in the middle of the year.
Scots PGC held the first of two IQ qualifying competitions for 2016 at the Warwick Horse Trials club.
There were more than 150 rider and horse combinations representing 32 schools who competed in dressage, combined training and showjumping. Scots PGC was represented by 30 students in years 1-12.
The aim for most of the Scots PGC equestrian students is to try and qualify for this year’s State Interschool Queensland Championships which will see the dressage, show horse, show man and showjumping competitions held in the June holidays and the eventing and combined training championships held at the end of the second week of term 3.
The last opportunity for qualification will be the Scots PGC College’s Extravaganza on May 27-29. This event is one of the biggest inter-school Queensland competitions each year.
Scots PGC students have competed in eventing at Fig Tree Pocket and in two events at the Pittsworth Showgrounds recently.
