Scots PGC girls in 7s heaven

RUGBY UNION: Four Scots PGC College students have been selected in the Darling Downs sevens 15-player squads to train in the run-up to the Queensland championships next month.

Teams of 12 will be selected to play at Ballymore.

Scots PGC has three players in the under-17 team, Tshinta Kendall, Kathleen Keogh and Kate Wild.

Kendall has already represented Queensland.

Scots PGC PE teacher Lauren Quinlan is on the coaching panel for the U17s.

Shona McFarland from Scots PGC is in the U15 regional team for the second time.

Kendall and Keogh are both part of the Warwick Water Rats women's team which plays in the Downs Rugby Sevens competition.

Both will be in action on Saturday at Risdon Oval when Warwick plays Dalby and USQ in carnival games.

Warwick games are at 11am and 12.20pm on Saturday and the women's final will be just before Warwick plays St George in a crucial men's B-grade Downs game at 3pm at Risdon Oval.
