Scramble team has success on Palmer course at the coast

GOLF: Four Warwick golfers have qualified for the final of the Volkswagen Scramble with some outstanding play.

Each golf club in the nation has the chance to host a competition and Caleb King, Chris Hynes, Rhys Farrell and Neil Moore won on the Warwick Golf Club course.

King, Hynes and Farrell are three of the young guns of the Warwick club and were joined in Warwick and the Gold Coast by Moore, who was the most experienced of the four.

The scramble format then changes, with the winning team being joined by their professional at the regional final at the Gold Coast Palmer Course, formerly known as Robina Golf Course.

With professional Sam Eaves in the team, the Warwick five won at the regionals.

Now they will head to the Twin Waters Resort on the Sunshine Coast for the national finals on May 24-27.
