Where's Wally in Warwick West?

WARWICK West turned wacky last week, with the school morphing into a real-life Where's Wally search for Book Week.

After raiding most of the Vinnies stores in the state, the teachers put on their red and whites on Thursday and challenged students - dressed as their own characters - to find the "real" Wally, Mr Tamblyn.

The dress-up day followed on from earlier celebrations, including theatre performances, reading challenges and Wacky Wednesday.

Teacher-librarian Sue Higgins said Wacky Wednesday involved the students hunting for things that weren't right, including their back-dressed principal and the new library assistant, Buddy the poodle. "There was such a buzz in the atmosphere that morning and the kids were so excited and whizzing around the school," she said.
