Season to start with thriller
GRAND finalists from last season, Inglewood and Maryvale-Condamine, do battle at Slade Park on Sunday to commence the cricket season.
Wet weather will see this game transferred to Hamilton Oval.
The Inglewood side will be led in the batting department by Wayne Fearby and Nick Campbell.
The Maryvale side will be hoping captain Andrew Ryan can lead from the front in the bowling and for batsman Jason Steketee to get his side off to a good start.
RSL Diggers batsman Jamie Saunders could set the tone for a big season with the bat by top scoring against Warwick Hotel Colts at Queens Park turf.
This game will be moved to the Queens Park synthetic in the event of rain.
Shaun O'Leary and Donald Miller might add a valuable partnership for the Colts side.
The Sovereign Animals travel to Killarney to play Killarney.
Laurie Wagner will trouble the Killarney batsman with his medium pace.
Darren Costello could be the match winner for Killarney with the bat.
Wheatvale bowler Paul Cantwell has an amazing record with the ball at the Allora cricket ground and should pick up some key Allora wickets.
Allora batsman Steve Hughes and Cameron Masters will ensure that Allora gets off to a solid start at the top of the order.
All round one games in the Commonwealth Bank Cup start at 9.30am on Sunday.
