STANTHORPE runners and walkers supported the Warwick parkrun at 7am on New Year's Day and then it was all roads leading to Stanthorpe for the Granite Belt run later in the morning.

They came from Townsville, Yamanto, Gatton, Nambour, Brisbane and Moree as well with around 100 parkrunners starting at 7am for two 2.5 laps of a course each side of the Condamine River.

Annette Hadley was one of five Moree parkrunners who drove to Warwick late Sunday to overnight in the town before the Warwick and Stanthorpe parkruns on Monday.

"Three of us left at 3.30am to come last year but it was easier to come the night before,” Hadley said.
