See photos from cricket and expect more games in 2018

CRICKET: At least 76 games are set to be played in next year's Australia Day Cricket Carnival as the January 26 public holidays in 2018 will be on a Friday.

Four years out of seven, the carnival in Warwick is played over three days.

Some teams from last year have vowed to play every second year and Wheatvale all rounder Carly Cooper still plans to field an all girls team in a carnival. This year, she played for Queensland Country in the nationals so there was very little time between the nationals and the carnival to organise a team.
