Bike crash causes serious injuries
A 30-year-old man was airlifted to Brisbane after he sustained serious injuries in a motorbike accident at Liston, south east of Stanthorpe, yesterday afternoon.
It is believed the man was riding his motorbike on a private property when he crashed, sustaining multiple facial fractures, a suspected head injury and suspected multiple internal injuries.
RACQ CareFlight pilot Tony Miller said the man was in a serious condition.
“The patient's multiple injuries are considered very serious at this stage,” he said yesterday afternoon.
“It was necessary for our medical team to place the patient on life support, both for his own comfort, and to stabilise him for flight.”
The man was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for specialist treatment.
