Seven days of drafting on again in October

MORE than 2000 horse-and-rider combinations will be in Warwick for the October 22 start of seven days of drafting at the Warwick Showgrounds.

The first action will be early Monday as up to organisers aim to have 45 runs per hour.

Riders will be in Warwick for a week of action culminating in the Sunday final of the Melbourne Cup of campdrafting, the Pryde's Easi Feeds Warwick Gold Cup.

The Warwick Show and Rodeo Society is currently working on upgrading the yards for the 2018 rodeo.

Volunteers are aiming to eventually replace all wooden yards at the Warwick Showgrounds.

Geoff Grant heads the WSRS Campdraft Committee which is souring cattle from a wide area of Queensland.

The campdraft committee is meeting monthly.
