Severe fire danger issued for south-west Queensland

A SEVERE fire weather warning has been issued for the Darling Downs, Maranoa, Warrego and Granite Belt districts.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that a surface trough is causing dry, gusty southerly winds that will lead to enhanced fire dangers.

The Queensland Rural Fire Service advises fires may be "unpredictable, uncontrollable and fast-moving".
