Severe storms with heavy rain on the horizon for Warwick
HEAVY rainfall, damaging winds and hail are all possible in Warwick as severe thunderstorms are predicted to move across the city later this week.
Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Harry Clark said severe storm activity had been predicted for Thursday and Friday.
On Friday, between 20-30mm of rain is expected to fall in Warwick.
"We're going to see a pretty significant upper feature move in from the south west and that's going to drive a lot of thunderstorm activity," Mr Clark said.
"There is a chance you could see some fairly significant thunderstorms on those two days."
The chance of severe storms will hang around until Saturday but the likelihood of rain will last longer, with 5-15mm of rain predicted to fall on both Saturday and Sunday.
