Shooter on target

AFTER making the New Zealand team for the last Commonwealth Games, Ann Potter reproduced winning form with 365 to win the 10m air pistol at the Warwick Pistol Club February Open Shoot.

Potter withdrew from the games in 2010 due to tennis elbow, but is now fit again and won by five points from Queensland and Australian representative Lynn Thomas.

The pair and third-placed Sandy Greig, of Murrumba, reckon pistol shooting was one sport where women could mix it with the men.

"We keep them honest," Greig said.
