Warwick Clay Target Club shooters have big weekend

SHOOTERS will be aiming high this weekend at the Warwick Clay Target Club, as they warm up for the State Titles in Brisbane.

More than 80 shooters are expected for two days of target shooting action on a double barrelled weekend.

Warwick Clay Target Club trench captain Dan Johnson said one of the features tomorrow would be the Olympic Trap.

"The Olympic Trap starts from 10am and is a 100 target event," he said.

"On Sunday there will be a Down the Line trap, which is a 120 target event.

"Sunday will be the biggest shoot with about 80 people coming from clubs from other towns."

Shooters were expected to come from as far as Brisbane and the Gold Coast for the weekend events, as they try to work themselves into top form ahead of next weekend's State Titles.

 When: Olympic Trap tomorrow 10am, double barrel and more - Sunday 9am.
