Shoppers keen to find a dose of fresh air
OVER on Facebook, we asked you to give thumbs up or thumbs down to something good or bad in the Southern Downs region. Here's what you said:
Angel Swift: thumbs down to the cigarette smoke cloud that smothers you as you walk out of (and in) to the shopping centre.... some breathing space would be lovely.
Roz Thompson: Thumbs up to the amazing group of staff at Warwick lawn cemetery who go well above their call to ensure the grounds and surrounds of loved ones always look amazing and respectful !!!and in record time in most cases !!!
Dan N Emmy McGee: Thumbs up to Hynes Newsagency for having all the Back To School stationery! There are a lot of schools in Warwick and surrounds and they have everything you need! Keep up the great work!
Kay Reichel: Last week i wrote a thumbs up to the new 60kms zone at the 8 mile. But a thumbs down to the placing to the signage coming in from brisbane. They have a large sign in front of another larger sign that are placed very close together. The larger sign is to indicate the turn off to Toowoomba. Considering people get confused to where abouts the turn off is and they have covered it with another sign.... Twits.
Shazzy Bee: Thumbs Up to the learn to swim staff at WIRAC who are patient and well trained
Jen Davidson: Two thumbs up to Australian Show Ribbons for all the free craft bags they gave away last week.. lovely community friendly people
Gail Lobley: Thumbs up to the amazing Nursing and operation staff at the Oaks Nursing home they are all Brilliant, Happy, professional people xo
Marie A Jobson: Thumbs down to people who drive Utes. And park in the pram parks at iga.
Darryl Evans: Thumbs up to the copper on the Cunningham Highway standing in the middle of the road works with a radar. Its the first time through road works we have not had a truck behind us trying to force greater than 40klms permitted, I hope to see more of it.
