Showers forecast over weekend

STANTHORPE is in for another wet weekend, with showers forecast until Saturday.

Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Kev Hutchins said there is also a chance of thunderstorms.

Residents can also expect a hot weekend, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 29°C today, before hitting 31°C tomorrow.

"Saturday will also be a warm day with a maximum of 30,” Mr Hutchins said.

The skies are expected to begin to clear on Sunday.

"By Sunday it'll still be a little cloudy but not expecting any weather,” Mr Hutchins said.

He said it would be mostly sunny by Monday.

Temperatures are also expected to begin to cool from Sunday.
