Sisters 'groomed' young girls
SIX members of an alleged child prostitution ring in NSW have been charged and are now before the courts.
On Thursday, two women and four men were arrested during raids in Sydney's west.
Police allege two sisters, aged 22 and 19, groomed a network of girls, some as young as 12, to perform sexual favours for paying clients.
Both have been charged with several counts of aggravated sexual assault in company and obtaining benefit from child prostitution.
Four men, all aged in their 50s, have been charged with a string of child sex offences.
Three of those, aged 51 and 52 and 55, are accused of hiring a prostitute under the age of 14 and using a carriage service to engage in sexual activity with a child.
The fourth man, aged 53, is accused of engaging the services of a child between the ages of 14 and 18.
Police are appealing for victims and witnesses to come forward.
