Polocrosse sisters prove winning is in the bloodlines

TWO of the Waugh siblings won best player awards as Cunningham 1 won the A-grade mixed competition at the annual club carnival.

Todd Waugh won the prize for the best male horse and rider and his sister Ryle was best for the women.

Their sister Ella was in the winning team along with fellow players Aaron Stiletto, Zac O'Leary and Carly Cooper.

Carly is in her first year out of juniors.

The A-grade competition was a topsy-turvy affair.

Gold Coast beat Warwick on Saturday and Tansey proved too good for Inverell.

The losers from Saturday won the semis on Sunday, Warwick defeated Tansey and Inverell beat Gold Coast.

In the final, Warwick beat Inverell with Paul McGrath (Warwick) best horse and rider award winner. Grafton/Taroom won the beaten teams.
