LADIES, it is your time to shine.
March 9 marks the 2012 International Women's Day Breakfast and Zonta Rose Day where the community celebrates everything girlie.
Warwick's Zonta Club is hosting a big breakfast on the day at the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE.
Warwick Zonta Club president Jenny Eldridge said it was a day for all women to come together.
"It is a day on which women and men around the world celebrate the many advancements women have made towards gender equality while exploring the challenges women continue to face today," Mrs Eldridge said.
"The yellow rose is the international symbol for Zonta.
"We sometimes give the roses to the visitors as a symbol," she said.
Mrs Eldridge said she was expecting about 120 women at the breakfast, including student leaders, business professionals and local residents.
"It's a really great day, a girls day out," she said.
The guest speaker at the breakfast will be Louise Samuel - winemaker, artist and businesswoman - who will share her wisdom and inspiring tales with guests.
Mrs Eldridge said the function would raise money to help those with breast cancer.
"This breakfast will raise money for the production of breast cushions which are really comfortable after you have had breast cancer," she said.
"We encourage people to get tickets this week because they sell out very fast."
Tickets are $22 and must be purchased before March 2.
