Six tourists face drug charges or drug diversion programs

SIX tourists will face drug charges or drug diversion counselling after a drug raid on the Southern Downs.

Wallangarra police said Wallangarra and Stanthorpe police acted on a warrant at 2.30pm Sunday at a Stanthorpe residence as a result of drug intelligence.

"The six were located at the residence,” Wallangarra police said.

"Some of the six will have drug diversion counselling while others have been given a notice to appear in Stanthorpe Magistrates Court and will face a total of nine charges in relation to possession of marijuana and utensils.”
