Slice of Origin action

Eagle Boys will be inundated with orders tonight, as game one of the State of Origin kicks off.

While the Maroons will be battling it out with the Blues, Eagle Boys staff members will be tackling an estimate of over 300 pizzas for Warwick's footy fans.

Eagle Boys Franchisee, John Rye says it's one of the busiest nights of the year for his pizza makers.

Running his shop with his son, Anthony Rye, the father and son team are preparing for peak trade to occur between 6:30pm and 7:30pm, expecting it to then die down by half time.

"We have people calling up from the moment we open to place their orders for the night, whether it be delivery or pick-up,"John said.

Picks-ups are usually most popular on origin nights, with an average of five pizzas per order.

The crew will have nine staff members on to pump out the pizzas as fast as possible. John says he encourages his staff to swap their uniforms for their footy jerseys, sporting their favourite team's colours.

The boys running the shift are hoping for a controversial win. "We'd actually prefer if New South Wales wins tonight, because it leaves the next two games open and gets Queensland supporters riled up, which is great for business," John said.

To place your orders in time for kick off, you can order online at http://www.eagleboys.com.au or call Eagle Boys on 13 14 33.
