Sniffer dogs find Southern Downs stash

SNIFFER dogs have earned their dinner after finding marijuana and steroids hidden in the panel of a vehicle.

The dogs sniffed out the drugs after police executed a search warrant on a property in Severnlea last week.

As a result of the find, a 25-year-old man has been charged with drug offences.

In other police news, a 17-year-old Stanthorpe woman given drug diversion after police found marijuana in a house in Harris St.

Last Friday, Stanthorpe police also found methampehtamine and a pipe during a traffic stop.

The 44-year-old driver was charged with two drug offences.

Stanthorpe police also charged six drivers last weekend after they allegedly returned positive drug tests.
