Social group races in from Springfield for Pentath-run
FOR Regi Krist-Pohlman and Neil Pohlman tackling their first half-marathon was no walk in the park.
But the support of their friends in the Springfield Runners Group made it all worthwhile.
The runners in their pink and red t-shirts weren’t hard to miss, celebrating as each team member crossed the finish line.
For the group, the Warwick Pentath-run is one event they don’t want to miss.
Mr Pohlman competed in his first event two years ago, running in just one race.
Last year he upped the ante to four races, and this year he ran five.
“It’s a good excuse for us to get together and have a good time,” he said.
“We’ve got people camping, people staying with family.
“A couple of people are even staying on for five days in the area.”
