Warwick West students go well at cross country
CROSS COUNTRY: It is one carnival down and one to go for many of the cross country stars from the Warwick West State School.
Mitchell House won the school cross country battle with 116 poins from Sturt on 94 and Cordeaux on 46.
Most of the placegetters at Warwick West are likely to compete in the Southern Downs Cross Country Championships for 10-12 year olds on the Allora golf course on April 26.
The Border cross country for ages 13-19 will be held on the same day at the same venue. The events at Allora will double as trials for teams to go to the Darling Downs Championships.
Children who place at Allora and make it to the Darling Downs championships then have a chance to go for a spot in the regional team for this year's state championships.
