THE SMELL of delicious food and sounds of groovy jazz filled Bryson's Place yesterday with the Blue Violets performing their catchy tunes.

The back room of Bryson's was completely booked out.

A mild coconut chicken curry and a red wine beef and mushroom ragout were served to the 60 luncheon guests.

Cafe owner Lynn Bryson was pleased with the day's success.

"We're very happy though, everyone enjoyed their luncheon and enjoyed the entertainment," she said.

"The entertainment was a great crowd pleaser; we had lots of lots of comments about that.

"The sweets were to die for."

The Blue Violets' vocal chords have had quite the workout during the Jumpers and Jazz festival so far.

The singers had a short break before they performed at last night's potters launch and soup night.

They had an early start this morning and performed for the groovy grannies fundraiser at 7am.

Last weekend they performed at Bryson's Place, Bell Vue Cafe and Bestbrook Mountain Resort.

The Blue Violets perform on the last Tuesday of every month at Bryson's Place, usually kicking off their music mornings.

Steve Henry, from Toowoomba, will perform at the popular cafe tonight from 5pm.

Lynn said seats were filling fast but there was still room for more.

Tickets are $25 and guests can then order from the menu.

One performance the cafe staff members are looking forward to is the Toowoomba Vocal Ensemble tomorrow from 3-6pm.

"I don't think people last year could believe just how well they performed," Lynn said.

Andrew Kucks will then finish up the week's performances, on Sunday from 9am-2pm.

"People are welcome to come and listen and have a coffee."
