Southern Downs couple allegedly steals meat, sanitary items
TWO people have been charged with four counts of stealing each after an alleged stealing spree at IGA Allora.
The man and woman, both 40, allegedly stole meat, sanitary items, confectionery and other products between November 23-25.
Police will allege the man approached the counter to pay for some items while the woman would exit the store with additional items in her handbag.
Allora Police Acting Sergeant Matt Shield said the couple committed the offences on four occasions, including entering the store twice on November 25.
Sgt Shield said staff stopped the couple on the fourth occasion and emptied the woman's handbag to find stolen items.
The Hendon couple are due to appear at Warwick Magistrates Court on December 20.
Sgt Shield said the couple have also been banned from shopping at IGA Allora.
