Sparks fly at Killarney Bonfire Night
KILLARNEY Bonfire Night is taking its old favourites to a new location - a huge bonfire, dragons, and amazing fireworks by Southern Downs Regional Council - at Killarney Recreation Club.
And the team are bringing some exciting new features to the event.
Fire performances by Neal Webb of Energy Entertainments on the Gold Coast and a flaming new bonfire artwork by Paul Stumkat.
Visitors travel from all over south-east Queensland to come to see the amazing creations of the Killarney fire drum makers.
Their creativity and skill are the main drawcards, but to the exhibitors the night is just as much about children, friends and family and keeping warm.
Being part of the fun is easy; cut, weld or punch a 44-gallon drum into shape, get your entry form in by today and bring your drum out before 1pm Saturday.
Plenty of hot food will be available on the grounds, with a new taco stand by KMAC along with soup, hot chips and barbecue.
The mulled wine is always a favourite and will sit alongside the Lions Club bar.
The annual bonfire night is an official event of Jumpers and Jazz in July and also serves as a fundraiser for Killarney Memorial Aged Care.
Killarney Bonfire Night will be held this Saturday from 4.30pm to 9pm at the Killarney Recreation Club.
