Woman suffers suspected spinal injuries after quadbike spill

A WOMAN in her 30s has sustained a suspected spinal injury after falling off a quad bike north-east of Warwick.

A crew from the Queensland Ambulance Service, Warwick station, responded and treated the woman on the scene before the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed on the property.

This is the third quad bike accident RACQ CareFlight Rescue has responded to since Monday.

The helicopter was called to a property near Tregony from the Clive Berghofer CareFlight Centre in Toowoomba about 12.15pm.

CareFlight's flight intensive care paramedic treated the woman before airlifting her to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Yesterday the Toowoomba crew airlifted a child from Beaudesert after she came off a quad bike and fell approximately 1m onto the ground.

She was taken to the Mater Children's Hospital with suspected head, spinal and abdominal injuries.

The Bundaberg-based helicopter was called to a property near Biggenden on Monday after a man in his 30s sustained a suspected head injury and chest pain.
