Spike in weapon offences in May
FOR all Warwick's responsible gun owners, there are a few still trying to dupe the system.
In the past five years, there have been more than 100 Weapons Act offences in the 4370 postcode.
Of the 104 cases, police solved 99.
There was a sharp rise in weapons offences in the past six months, with eight offences in December and another seven in May.
Weapons Act offences include possessing an unregistered firearm, possession of a weapon and the unlawful supply of weapons.
