Sponsor for the second on the Allora golf course

GOLF: The Allora Golf Club has secured a sponsor for the second hole of the course.

The nine-hole golf course is adjacent to the highway and on both sides of Dalrymple Creek at Allora.

Club secretary John Ellwood said Ray Bunch Machinery had continued their strong support of local sporting bodies with the sponsorship of the very challenging second hole.

"Principal Ray Bunch was most impressed with the Allora Golf Club's encouragement of junior, lady and veteran golfers, with the latter benefiting from the availability of motorised buggies for the less mobile players,” he said.

The main playing day is Sunday and Ellwood said the club was enjoying record membership.

"We are receiving increased interest from Warwick and Killarney golfers keen to play the very challenging layout,” he said.

Annual membership $200.

Anyone interested in joining can call Wendy on 0437342870. Golf hole sponsorship available by calling Ellwood on 0448196647.
