Spring Spectacular to fill Rodeo void
THERE may not be the usual Rodeo Mardi Gras to enjoy this year but a local school is doing its bit to fill the void.
Warwick West State School is busy preparing for its annual Spring Spectacular.
The ever-popular event will be held on Friday, September 9, and with no Rodeo Mardi Gras this year, P&C president Kerri Walters saw an opening for West School's Spring Spectacular to fill a void in the community event calendar.
"Our event has everything that families would normally find at the Mardi Gras including amusement rides, novelty stalls, food and entertainment," Ms Walters said.
"We have a wonderful reputation of delivering a fun, family-orientated event that runs from afternoon to evening to accommodate everyone including families, the elderly and young people.
The 2016 Spring Spectacular will be chock-a-block with rides, stalls, hot food, raffles, lucky dips and a huge entertainment program including bands, a lip synching competition, and a talent quest.
