Sprints return to track this weekend at Morgan Park
THE Queensland Super Sprints Series is on again this weekend at Morgan Park Raceway.
There are 107 starters for round 2 of the B series.
The 24 Hours of Lemons organisation will hold a meeting at the raceway on May 24-26.
Practice is on the Friday and the racing will be all day Saturday and all day Sunday.
A proper 24-hour race is planned on September 20-21 when all the race cars will have noise restricters.
The meeting in late May will be the first for the Lemons in Warwick.
THE Killarney Polocrosse Club will host 44 teams at its annual carnival this weekend.
Eleven rounds of games will be played on four fields at the polocrosse grounds.
The extra polocrosse grounds west of the Killarney Recreation Centre will not be needed this weekend.
Four of the top teams in the open competition will be Tansey, Warwick, Cunningham and Gold Coast.
After playing well as a number one (goal shooter) in the World Cup a fortnight ago, Lauren Sillitoe will be in the Tansey 3 team.
This weekend's carnival will be the last on the Southern Downs until Cunningham on August 10-11.
AFTER a gap of two months, the Warwick Karting Club is back for its May meeting on Sunday.
The club usually attracts 70 or more starters for its club meetings.
While most of the motorsport is at Morgan Park, the karting track is at Sandy Creek Raceway, just beside the Sandy Creek Pub. Free admission.
