Squash for ladies: 'the more the merrier'

SQUASH: The more the merrier is the word from Ladies Social Squash secretary Jill Hume.

The group held its first muster for the new season last week and the second muster is tomorrow night from 6pm at the St Mary's Squash Courts in Guy St.

Hume said the main thing about ladies squash was it was social play.

"Squash is also good for fitness, we play each Thursday from 6pm and aim to have a minimum of four teams of four," she said.

"The more the merrier. Ladies can bring children to squash with them if they need to and other players will supervise the children while their mother is playing."

"Players are graded according to ability. Age doesn't matter. My mother Judy Collins is in her early 60s and won the top line last season."

All welcome tomorrow night or can call Hume on 0414<TH>303<TH> 905
